My Brothers and Sisters,
July, a time to Celebrate our Independence and to be thankful for those who have given us our freedom.
The lodge is slowly improving, many of you have continued to support the lodge by coming in, donating financially and volunteering. The donations really help take the edge off of the tension, each month. Please continue if you are able. Coming into the lodge and purchasing dinners or drinks always helps. Volunteering has really helped myself and the Boards continue moving forward. If it were "Not for You", I don't know where we would be today! Please continue your kindness.
It sure is nice seeing members being social and laughing with one another. It warms my heart to see old members as well as new members enjoying themselves. I like ideas being brought to me, as well as constructive criticism. Feel free to give me a call.
Regarding the lodge improvements:
We are still trying to obtain bids for the kitchen work. The bathrooms, front entrance/awning and inside door has
been put off till next month. The lighting will follow the next month. Late August, if all goes well, the side of the lodge will be painted.
Laura O'Donovan stepped up to help fill in a bartender vacancy. Jane Connelly will be helping out with Sunday breakfasts. She will be taking orders and serving breakfasts. Sheamus has accepted a full time job with Ocean Beauty. He will be working only on Saturdays for us. I want to thank all three of them! If anyone knows of someone that wants to Bartender/Cook, please have them contact me.
Congrats to Kathy Riva and Jim Hutchens for setting up the "31" tournament. It was enjoyed by all. So much so, it will continue next month. Congrats to Monica Hutchens for taking 1st place and to Steve Roberts for taking a close 2nd place.
I wish you well. Fraternally, Mark Leonard 909) 636-3172
